Holocaust Museum is the result of St. Petersburg businessman and
philanthropist, Walter P. Loebenberg’s remarkable journey
and vision. He escaped Nazi Germany in 1939 and served in the United
States Army during WWII.

Pinellas County's oldest historic preservation
organization was founded in 1920 as the St. Petersburg Memorial
Historical Society. Through the determination and effort of Mary
Wheeler Eaton and others, the society began the collection of artifacts,
